True Studio Reset is for the moments when you know the technical side, you have the plugins, reference tracks, and skills, and yet something still isn't moving. You might sit down and go blank, lose trust in your ears halfway through a session, or find yourself unable to finish what you started. More often than not, this isn't simply a mindset or discipline problem. Over seven days, we explore what's happening in your body and nervous system through simple, body-led practices you can bring straight into your studio and life.
What You Might Notice
What We’ll Explore
True Studio Reset
A short reframe on why creative blocks aren't always a mindset problem, followed by a grounding breath practice to begin noticing the shift for yourself.
A somatic release for the hands, forearms, and shoulders, where tension often builds from long hours at the desk and everyday life.
After long hours in the studio, you're not just tired, your ears get fatigued too. This short somatic reset helps you step out of that fatigue and reconnect with your listening.
When the pressure to perform brings a rush of overwhelm, your body can become activated before you even begin. This practice offers nervous system tools to work with that intensity and find more steadiness in the moment.
A practice for the other side of performance anxiety, the freeze response that can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected before it's time to perform.
A guided inquiry into your body's story and what it may be holding around your creative work, giving you space to notice what's there rather than trying to think your way through it.
Bring the week together with an integrative practice, revisiting what you've explored and creating space to carry it forward. If you want to go deeper, Groundwork is the next invitation.
If you've been reading the Sunday letters, you already know me. I'm Masha, an artist and somatic practitioner and much of my work explores the part of making music that happens in the body, not just in the DAW.
True Studio Reset is that work turned into something you can actually experience: simple, body-led practices, five to seven minutes at a time, that you can bring straight into your studio and everyday life.
You don’t need to change your routine or set aside another hour in your day. Each practice is intentionally short, so you can explore it before a session, after a long stretch at your desk, or whenever you notice something shifting.
After seven days, you'll have a small set of body-led practices you can bring into real studio moments: when your ears are tired, tension starts shaping your decisions, or activation or freeze shows up.
The aim is to leave with something you can use in your next session and return to long after the course ends.
Not exactly - though the work is rooted in real somatic and therapeutic training, and it's completely normal for personal material to surface as we work with the body. This particular offer is scoped for your creative process, not deeper therapeutic care - if that's what you're actually navigating, reach out directly and we can talk about what kind of support fits best.
None. If you can sit at your desk for 5 minutes, you can do this.
Everything stays in your inbox. Go at your own pace, there's no live component to this part.
You'll have a practice you can keep using on your own. If you want to go deeper with others working through the same thing, there's a next step - more on that once you're inside.
